Press releaseFlowerTrials® 2013This year's FlowerTrials® will take place from 11 through 14 June at various locations in two countries: Aalsmeer and the Westland region in the Netherlands and the Rhineland and Westphalia regions in Germany.In 2012, this successful event for pot and bedding plants saw twenty percent more visitors as compared to 2011. Visitors came to the event from 61 different countries. During your visit, you can expect to see almost every pot or bedding plant imaginable including orchids, perennials, herbs and vegetables. You will also be presented with an extensive selection of new varieties grown from seed and cuttings. Displays will include young plants, pre-finished and finished plants as well as varieties that offer possibilities for licensing. In addition, you can check out marketing programs, trends and interesting concepts for making products more eye-catching and for promoting sales. The best way to reach the FlowerTrials® is by car but visitors from abroad might want to book a flight to the international airports of Amsterdam or Düsseldorf/Weeze. Frankfurt andRotterdamAirport are other options.From any of these airports, the most convenient way to get to the FlowerTrials® is by hiring a car at the airport. Travelling from one location to the next within the same region usually takes just a few minutes. Travelling between regions takes between 1 and 2 hours. The FlowerTrials® website, www.flowertrials.nl/en/hotels, provides a list of various suitable hotels for spending the night. You can apply for an admission badge by registering in advance at the FlowerTrials® website; after logging in,click on the special registration button. A single registration will allow you to visit all the locations; your personal badge provides you with quick access everywhere. The only thing you will have to worry about is making sure that your camera batteryis fully charged! The FlowerTrials® 2013 are the ultimate event, where growers can find out all they need to know about the latest developments in pot and bedding plants. An added bonus is that you are shown around by professionals. This allows you to relax while checking out all the new products – a much better option than having to make your own way over a busy exhibition floor. Retailers are able to actually see how new marketing ideas can have a positive impact on sales by the use of unique point-of-sale concepts. Agents are able to see for themselves how new products are affecting market developments immediately following the close of the spring season. A rule of thumb is 1 day per region. Foreign visitors are advised to reserve at least 4 days to make the most of their visit.
